Overview:
For nearly 50 years, Omaha Children’s Museum (OCM) has been a special place where children can challenge themselves, discover how the world works, and learn through play. A favorite regional destination, OCM is one of the most visited museums in Nebraska, serving approximately 300,000 visitors annually through:
• Enriching hands-on exhibits, special visiting exhibits, and OCM-built exhibits that make their premieres in Omaha before traveling the country;
• Play-based programming designed to inspire and educate young children through field trips, summer camps, community partnerships, and daily museum events;
• Engaging experiences for children across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro through Museum Without Walls outreach events and for pre-K through 2nd-grade students at 30 Title 1 schools through the popular Partner School Program.
OCM is partnering with nonprofit Heritage Omaha to launch a $110 million capital campaign through the Omaha Children’s Trust (OCT) to design, build, and fully activate a vibrant new museum at Omaha’s RiverFront. The project’s mission is to create a thoughtfully designed children’s museum at Omaha’s RiverFront shaped by best practices in early child development, offering fun, inclusive exhibits and programming that spark joy, curiosity, and connection for young children and their caregivers. OCM will be moving to its new location in 2027. The individual serving in the position of Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations (Sr. VP) will play a critical role in carrying out this mission
