Collective Impact
May 4-7, 2016 Hosted by Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Norwalk, CT

To solve complex problems such as kindergarten readiness and the achievement gap, it takes a community-wide effort. Children's museums are uniquely positione to serve as community conveners, leaders, and contributors to help resolve these complex issues. The provide a neutral yet supportive space for an entire community to discuss and plan taking collective action. The underlying premise of Collective Impact is that no single organization can create large-scale, lasting social change on its own.

Bringing the World to Children and Families
May 13–15, 2015 Hosted by The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The conference theme focused on the many facets of what it means to be a children’s museum in a time of increasing connectivity through sessions on pedagogy, strategies to scaffold early learning, the latest developmental research, making as a learning process, and community engagement on the civic level. You will also have the opportunity to expand your skills in all areas of museum operations—including fundraising, financial management, exhibit design, outreach, staffing, and evaluation.
