Overview:
As part of EdVenture’s leadership team, the Director of Marketing will help make key decisions for the Museum while guiding the overall marketing strategy across the organization. This position requires active communication with executive leadership and department directors to ensure adequate planning and execution of comprehensive marketing plans.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience and/or training in marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•At least two years of leadership experience.
•Social media and website experience required.
•Ability to manage marketing budgets effectively.
•Understanding of marketing principles, trends, best practices, and campaign management.
•Experience with event management a plus.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
•Ability to manage, communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels in the organization.
•Working knowledge in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Job Responsibilities:
•Developing and executing effective marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional platforms.
•Providing content and oversight for the Museum’s website, social media platforms, and other digital communication methods (position will be responsible for collaborating with departments to obtain content).
•Maintaining correct brand usage throughout all internal and external communications and marketing activities and materials.
•Measuring the effectiveness of marketing efforts using data-driven insights.
•Planning, organizing, and managing the Museum’s community events to include Week of the Young Child, Summer Kick-Off, Countdown to Kindergarten, and others.
•Working closely with a variety of team members in the planning and execution of all non-marketing events.
•Directing the activities of external marketing and advertising providers.
•Managing the marketing budget, maintaining detailed records for accounting purposes.
•Serving as a public representative of the Museum, including cultivating relationships with community members, agencies, and vendors who support our marketing objectives.
•Overseeing creative services in the development of marketing materials.
•Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested by the CEO and Board of Directors.
•Performing other duties as assigned in support of the museum’s activities.
