The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and Graham-Pelton have joined forces to enhance fundraising programming for ACM’s more than 300 member museums.
By partnering with Graham-Pelton, ACM’s members will gain capacity-building opportunities in fundraising, including campaign planning, operational assessments, strategic planning, board and messaging development, analytical solutions and planned giving. Graham-Pelton will also offer an engagement discount to ACM member museums. “An ethos at Graham-Pelton is that humanity depends on philanthropy. I can’t think of a better way to support humanity than through the development of creativity and imagination in children, which then extends to their families and the wider community. We’re pleased that our expertise in fundraising and philanthropy will better equip ACM to work with and on behalf of its 300 museum members worldwide,” said Jennifer Harris, Ph.D., Graham-Pelton senior vice president.
Graham-Pelton’s experts, including Dr. Harris and Vice President Alex Senchak, will lead a series of webinars and one in-person workshop for ACM members as follows:

As an ACM Affinity Partner, KaBOOM! will provide a 10 percent discount off the purchase of the Rigamajig kit to current ACM members as part of ACM’s Affinity Program. Discount cannot be combined with or applied to past purchases. Valid on new purchases only.
KaBOOM! is the national nonprofit dedicated to bringing balanced and active play into the daily lives of all kids, particularly those growing up in poverty in America. KaBOOM! creates great places to play, inspires communities to promote and support play, and works to drive the national discussion about the importance of play in fostering healthy lives and communities.
Newly released by KaBOOM!, Rigamajig, designed by Cas Holman, is a new large-scale building kit conceived for hands-on play and STE(A)M learning. This collection of wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts, and rope allows children to follow their curiosity through play and learning 21st century skills. The variety of components in the kits encourage kids to share resources and become more inclined to take their contraptions apart to re-use pieces, rather than create a finished apparatus. Here, collaboration and play are what is most important. Rigamajig is made and manufactured in the United States. It is fabricated using the highest grade Baltic Birch Plywood and finished with a HAPS-free (Hazardous Air Pollutant-free) finish, and the Wingbolts, Hexnuts, and Brackets are made from 100 percent recycled nylon.
