Children’s Museums Celebrate Back-to-School with Horizon Organic
—Partnership with Association of Children’s Museums brings Horizon Organic products to community events this August—
ARLINGTON, VA (8/11/16)—The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) announced a national partnership with Horizon Organic to celebrate the start of the school year with new products for families. This August, Horizon Organic will offer free sampling at children’s museums across the U.S. during events celebrating the end of summer.
"We’re excited our partnership with Horizon Organic will enable children’s museums to add extra value to their events promoting school readiness and fighting summer learning loss. By recognizing the educational and convening power of children’s museums, Horizon Organic shows its commitment to helping families make healthy choices,” said ACM Executive Director Laura Huerta Migus.
Horizon Organic’s sample offerings will include Smiling Strawberry and Bunches O’ Berries Fruit Snacks and Organic Milk Boxes. Horizon Organic offers a variety of tasty lunchbox options made with organic ingredients, such as Organic Cheese Sandwich Crackers, Cinnamon Snack Grahams, Organic Mozzarella Sticks, and Organic Apple Fruit Crunchers that complement its milk and dairy offerings. Sampling will be offered at three ACM Member Museums:
- Portland Children’s Museum: August 13
As part of Outdoor Activity Month, Portland Children’s Museum will host a Field Day at the Museum, with bouldering, tree climbing, log jumping activities, and more.
- Port Discovery Children’s Museum: August 19
Port Discovery’s monthly Target $2 Family Fun Night regularly brings 800-1000 people to the museum for fitness, arts and crafts, and literacy activities designed for the whole family.
- Miami Children’s Museum Event: August 20
Miami Children’s Museum’s Back to School Bash will offer back-to-school activities designed to help children with sight and letter recognition, numerical ordering, social interactions, and health & wellness.
